During the production process, there have been ups and downs, but to date, Bao Minh has established its position in the market and has a long-term development orientation.

Artisan Ngo Thi Tinh, Director of Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company, next to the company's OCOP-certified products.

Bao Minh's products are traditional confectionery lines that apply advanced modern technology to production. Therefore, the flavor of the cakes always retains its “traditional essence” while being “timely”, suitable for the needs and tastes of modern consumers.

To be able to create such cakes, Bao Minh is very careful and thorough in all stages, especially in finding clean, safe, natural raw materials such as grains, vegetables, and fruits... from the midlands, mountainous areas, or the plains. Therefore, when enjoying them, diners will feel the sophistication and harmony of the earth and sky, the mountains and forests, and the heart and soul of the pastry chef.

“Previously, in my grandparents” time, we only produced cakes using traditional manual methods, imbued with the ancient taste and soul of a generation. But with the development flow of the market, for a traditional brand to survive and develop, we must also constantly change from technology, product packaging, and appearance to quality to create a distinct identity,' said artisan Ngo Thi Tinh.

For example, the 'phu the' cake (husband and wife cake) used to be wrapped only in leaves, but Bao Minh was the first unit to wrap this type of cake in plastic and package it as a pair for weddings. After that, Bao Minh also introduced all kinds of natural leaves and vegetables into each cake such as: taro leaves, black ganophyllum leaves, gac fruit extract, or pandan leaves... All these flavors blend together to create a delicious cake that has been innovated but is still very familiar to the traditional national cake line.

That is also the great creativity and change that Bao Minh has achieved. Or Bao Minh's green bean cake line is not just a regular green bean cake but also has a filling inside, so the cake is very balanced in flavor and distinctively delicious.

With continuous efforts and aspirations for development, after more than 30 years of building and growing, Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company has received many “sweet fruits”, and is especially honored to be the unit with 4 potential 5-star OCOP products including: Com cake (young sticky rice cake), durian-filled Com cake, phu the cake, and pia cake.

Spacious and modern Northern headquarters factory

Currently, the company has 2 confectionery factories in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with modern production lines with 3 main product lines: Traditional confectionery (com cake, phu the cake, khao cake...); innovative confectionery (jasmine sponge cake, fresh green bean cake...); modern cakes (Soggi cake, sandochi...) supplying supermarket chains: BigC, Aeon, VinMart, Lotte, Co.opmart. In addition, Bao Minh's products are available in all large and small supermarket systems and convenience stores across the country. Including external channels such as traditional channels, hotel and restaurant channels, spiritual and tourism channels... Especially, Bao Minh has products exported abroad to New Zealand and China through official channels.

Each OCOP product is a “story”

In the context of being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Bao Minh was also partially affected but did not close for a single day, even though there were times when it had to carry out '3 on-site' production which faced many difficulties and increased costs.

During the 2022 Lunar New Year, due to the complex developments of the pandemic, the company will not produce too much, with estimated output at about 70-80% compared to last year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Chief of the Coordination Office for New Rural Development Program of Hanoi, all OCOP products carry community nature, so all products originate from and bear traditional features. Each product is a “story”, through which the entities have expressed cultural values, historical traditions, and the distinct characteristics of each region.

OCOP products not only bring economic values and jobs to workers but also contribute to preserving, transmitting, and promoting beautiful cultural values to consumers.

Achieving OCOP standards is an important step for agricultural products to prove and affirm their quality and brand; this is also the destination of many agricultural and small-industrial production entities... today.

The OCOP program is implemented according to Decision No. 490/QD-TTg dated May 7, 2018, of the Prime Minister on approving the One Commune One Product Program Project (abbreviated as OCOP Program) for the 2018-2020 period. The results reported at the program's summary conference in March 2020 showed that 2,439 economic organizations participated in producing ranked OCOP products, in which the private economic sector accounted for 59%. Provinces and cities have evaluated and recognized 4,469 products, exceeding the target by 1.86 times, showing the creativity and positivity of the people in developing and diversifying OCOP products.

See more Here

OCOP giúp sản phẩm truyền thống phát triển lâu dài Việc được công nhận sản phẩm 4 sao và tiềm năng 5 sao trong chương trình OCOP (Chương trình mỗi xã một sản phẩm giai đoạn 2018-2020) của TP.
