On the afternoon of May 17, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the SheTrades project office in Vietnam and the Women Pioneers Network (WeLead), organized the “Meeting and dialogue between Ms. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and Vietnamese businesswomen”.
Ms. Ngo Thi Tinh – General Director of Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company, was honored to be one of the prominent businesswomen invited to attend.

The meeting and dialogue aimed to enhance knowledge, access opportunities for sustainable business development, and participate in Vietnam's process of penetrating the world market.
Sharing at the meeting, Ms. Iweala introduced the WTO along with WTO initiatives to increase women's economic empowerment and the programs and plans of this organization for Vietnam in promoting and supporting female-owned businesses to participate in international trade.

The insights shared by the WTO Director-General will be invaluable knowledge, helping the businesswomen in attendance today to be more confident when participating in international trade.
