The festival features many traditional rituals such as incense offering, prayer ceremonies for national peace and prosperity, the Yen Tu sacred seal opening ceremony, etc., and attracts millions of pilgrims every year. The 2-stage cable car system from Giai Oan station to Hoa Yen pagoda and from Hoa Yen pagoda to the An Ky Sinh statue area has been upgraded, ensuring smooth operation to serve tourists this year.
Dong Da Mound Festival, Hanoi
The festival takes place annually on the 5th of the 1st lunar month at Dong Da Mound, Quang Trung ward, Hanoi. This is a victory festival organized to commemorate the illustrious achievements of King Quang Trung – a hero in the nation's history of fighting foreign invaders.
Following the drum and gong signals that begin the victory procession, symbolizing the spirit of the Tay Son army, from Khuong Thuong village hall to Dong Da Mound. Participating in the procession are young people from villages: Khuong Thuong, Thinh Hao... dressed in festival ceremonial clothes, followed by flags, parasols, palanquins... and at the end of the procession is the image of a “fire dragon” made of straw. Giong Festival is organized in many places in Hanoi. Among them, 2 typical festivals are the Giong festival at Phu Dong temple, Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam – the birthplace of the legendary hero Saint Giong and the Giong festival at Soc temple, Phu Linh commune, Soc Son. Xoan Festival, Phu Tho
The festival takes place on the 7th of the first lunar month in Tam Thanh district, Phu Tho province to commemorate Xuan Nuong, a talented female general of the Trung Sisters. The festival begins with a spring prayer party offered to the Tutelary God, following the tradition of preparing a vegetarian feast, with yams and honey. Legend has it that the “noi da xao thit” buffalo slaughtering practice reenacts the story of the five generals of the Hung King who worshipped the river god and escaped disaster, when they reached the shore they found a buffalo to slaughter, taking the skin to make a pot to sacrifice to the river god.

The festival takes place on the 14th of the first lunar month at the Ba Chua Kho temple located in Co Me village, Vu Ninh ward, Bac Ninh city. This is also a major festival in the North, especially for the business community. Paying off debts at the end of the year and borrowing from Ba Chua Kho at the beginning of the year has become a long-standing custom in Vietnam. The festival has the custom of offering incense and praying to borrow money from the Goddess (symbolically) to “pray for wealth and fortune”.

Fish Praying Festival, Hue
The festival is organized on the 12th of the first lunar month at Thai Duong Ha, Thuan An, Hue city to commemorate the village tutelary god Truong Quy Cong (nickname of Truong Thieu), a native of Thanh Hoa who had the merit of teaching the poor people how to fish and trade boat nets. The net casting performance in the fish praying festival will be held in front of the village hall. After that is a boat race on the lagoon by neighboring communes. Ending the ceremony is an intimate meal between guests and local villagers.
Ba Den Temple Festival, Tay Ninh
Also known as the Linh Son Thanh Mau temple festival, built on the side of a high mountain at an altitude of 380 m in Tay Ninh.
