On the afternoon of May 4, 2023 (local time), in Dubai, UAE, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended and spoke at the opening session of the 2023 Global Summit of Women with the theme “Women: Leading a Climate of Change” hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
General Director Ngo Thi Tinh was one of more than 500 delegates, representing high-level officials from countries and women's organizations globally, as well as female leaders from the world's leading corporations and businesses.
The 2023 Global Summit of Women is held from May 4 to 6. The Vietnamese delegation will continue to actively participate in plenary and thematic discussion sessions with many practical contents on assessing challenges and emerging trends in regions and globally, as well as on gender equality in the workplace, the role of women in responding to climate change, digital transformation, and ensuring gender equality metrics.
Established and operating since 1990, the Global Summit of Women has become a major annual international forum on gender equality. The summit brings together politicians and business leaders from all over the world to exchange and promote initiatives to encourage the contribution and enhance the role of women in all areas of social life, especially in the economic sector.
