This is one of the prominent cultural, culinary, and charity exchange events organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the ASEAN Chairmanship year 2020.
Attending the opening of this year's food festival were Mrs. Mai Thi Hanh, spouse of former President Truong Tan Sang; Mrs. Nguyen Nguyet Nga, spouse of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh; Mrs. Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs To Anh Dung, along with Ambassadors, spouses, representatives of international organizations, and many provinces and cities across the country.
The International Food Festival 2020 took place vibrantly and meaningfully with the participation of 143 booths from foreign Embassies in Vietnam, units within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provinces, cities, and domestic and foreign enterprises.
The 143 booths brought different colors: dishes, specialties, books, propaganda publications, souvenirs, and the most characteristic handicrafts from many countries around the world and regions of Vietnam.
At this International Food Festival, Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company participated with nearly 400 products belonging to 3 main product lines: traditional confectionery (com cake, husband and wife cake, meat pie, pia cake, peanut candy, sesame candy, mooncake), innovative traditional confectionery (clear cake, fresh mung bean cake, special milk 'khao' cake, special mung bean 'khao' cake), and modern confectionery (jasmine sponge cake).
The Bao Minh Confectionery booth attracted a large number of visitors to view, taste, and purchase products.
