We visited Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company (Nam Thang Long Industrial Zone, Hanoi) right during the Mid-Autumn Festival cake season. Sharing with us about this important topic, Mr. Ninh Van Thang – Deputy Head of the Baked Goods Production Team, Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company said: He has been working here for nearly 12 years. Right from his first day at work, he was thoroughly grasped by the Board of Directors: The work of ensuring food safety and hygiene is always put first at the business. “Every year we are trained on food safety and hygiene. The regulations on food safety and hygiene are very strict and everyone must comply with a very high sense of responsibility. With his responsibility, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thinh – Head of Technical Department of Bao Minh Confectionery Joint Stock Company told us: To ensure product quality and food safety, his unit combines with the production block to supervise the technique of all production processes, from the input raw material stage to transporting into the warehouse and putting into production (mixing, kneading, shaping, packaging, warehousing...). For example: Regarding raw materials, the company must comply with the conditions specified in the Set of standards for raw materials, finished products and apply ISO 2000 quality procedures, as well as carry out product traceability very clearly and specifically.

Although very busy, the Director in charge of production of the Company, Mai Dinh Luc, also spared us a few minutes to share. According to him: Officials and employees are checked for health and trained in food safety and hygiene knowledge, occupational health and safety, and learn the company's rules and regulations before entering the production block. These tasks are repeated annually (2 times/year). Products and actual processes are built, upgraded, and improved regularly in the direction of maintaining increasingly better product quality. Especially, the company maintains a cross-supervision regime. “Any official, employee, or worker who does not do well will be reminded and corrected to get into order. All these activities and processes are maintained, upgraded, perfected, and developed over time by the Board of Directors, production teams, technical groups, and officials and employees” – Production Director Mai Dinh Luc affirmed.
