Doi candy originates from Nam Truc, Nam Dinh province. Initially, the candy was only sold in markets in some villages within the province, because the candy was made very manually and elaborately, so the output was low. Gradually, it has been partially changed by machinery and equipment combined with the skillful hands of the craftsmen, creating a thinner, crispier, and more melt-in-your-mouth shell, blended with the peanut and sesame filling inside. When you take a bite, you will find it crispy, nutty, and fragrant, which is very interesting. The reason the candy has such a name is because it has a shape similar to the 'Doi' dish, which is very popular in the Northern region of Vietnam.

Doi candy is a rustic country gift; it is truly interesting to sit by a pot of hot tea, sipping each candy, pulling us back to the memories of a peaceful countryside. Doi candy is a traditional specialty of Vietnam, known by many people.
